Nara is the place with the deer that bow to you for crackers and the place with the giant Buddha statue. Also the place with more awful tourists who were letting the deer eat their plastic wrappings, which literally kills the deer, and which they have multiple signs around the park specifically saying to NOT do, in multiple languages. It was really hard to enjoy that part of the area because I was so sick seeing these people act so callously to these poor animals. I'm feeling upset just remembering it. Ugh.
Anyway, sorry for being a downer, if you ever get to Nara yourself DON'T LET THE DEER EAT YOUR PLASTIC kthx.
