I don't think I have the days right anymore so this day was Fushimi Inari Taisha and random wandering around Kyoto

Before I came to Japan, I read that people in Kyoto are really sick of tourists. This place was the first to make it obvious why some people might feel that way. People were letting their kids climb all over the shrines, you know, the places people were trying to pray? Other people were taking pictures of people praying, which is really freaking rude. A TON of people were so busy posing with the ladles for purifying yourself before praying that people who were actually there to pray had to wait. And you basically had to use your elbows to get past people taking selfies down in the lower areas.

Once you hiked up a bit, you could actually enjoy the views and the many torii and the shrines that littered the paths, but you had to step over some actual human excrement to get up there. I'm not from Kyoto, but I was definitely hating the tourists that day, too.

Anyways, here are some pictures.

My still was still super sore this day, but I was extra careful. Even though it was a couple hours hike up a mountain, I made sure to take my time and not bend my knee. It felt 90% better the day after this, so it was the right decision.

Yokohama/Narita airport

Yokohama was neat. I didn't spend too much time there due to the traveling from Kyoto area, but it was neat. ...
