Hakone was beautiful, with crazy winding roads. The highway to Tofino is basically a straight line in comparison and the buses were just like "whatever, dude, we got this." And you're not worried because every other car on the road is tiny so they don't need the space the bus is taking up. The hot spring in my hotel was probably one of the highlights of my time in Japan. It was so nice and relaxing, and unfortunately it was too cloudy to see Mt Fuji from the hot spring itself, but it was still a nice mountain view.
I stopped at Odawara to see the castle. It's a rebuild because earthquakes and fires and various other reasons, but it was really cool.
